Ever since Fonnie and Mitchell booked me for their September, 2015 wedding in December of 2014, I couldn’t wait to do their engagement photos in the spring when all of the colors would be popping from the landscape at the Arboretum and the weather would be pleasant. I prefer the spring, summer and autumn for photos over the winter in the Northwest because most of the time, it’s raining and dark during winters in the Northwest.
I really love the Northwest spring colors, especially at the first place we stopped for photos – the arboretum! As you can see from the photos below, there’s a lot of color in the scenery there.
The second place we stopped for photos was UW. As a WSU Cougar, it was tough for me to want to go to this campus to do photos but because this couple was so nice, I knew I could make a major sacrifice for them. :>)
The third stop on our engagement photo session was Green Lake. Green Lake is one of my favorite places to go for running around the lake and table tennis on weekends inside their gym. We didn’t spend much time there because the sun was setting fast. However, I was able to get a photo of them doing something they enjoy with each other – hanging out at a cafe and drinking lattes.
Fonnie and Mitchell were a lot of fun to work with and I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding in September!
