Engagement session at Lincoln Park in West Seattle

This was my first visit to Lincoln Park in west Seattle. Although I photographed a bride getting ready across the street from the park a little while ago, I was quite unaware of the size of this park! There were ball fields, a swing set, some nice meandering paths throughout the park and a path along the beach with sweeping views of the Puget Sound. You can see the Fauntleroy ferry going to Vashon Island and the Port Orchard area as well as the Seattle / Bremerton ferry.

Alex and Kristine met years ago in pre-school. It was apparent to me, while I was photographing them playing tag with each other and having fun on the swing, that they are still kids at heart.

They enjoy walks in the park. Lincoln Park has special meaning to them because it is where Alex proposed to Kristine. I had them reenact it at the very same bench where she said yes to marrying him. I always enjoy learning people’s stories, especially with couples. I’m honored that Alex and Kristine had me capture these special memories for them. I look forward to photographing their wedding in 2015!
