Samantha & Daniel at Willows Lodge

When the wedding day of Samantha and Daniel arrived, I was excited to photograph it. I had done two engagement sessions with them, one in the summer and another in the winter and I got to know them pretty well. So I knew I would enjoy spending time with them and capturing fun moments on their special day.

As a photographer for over 10 years, I really appreciated learning how much photos mean to this bride and groom. They gave each other a print for their wedding gifts. While I watched Daniel open his gift that had a frame with two photos in it, one of them being a photo I took of them, and saw him shed a few tears, I almost teared up myself! It was at that moment when I said to myself, “This is one of the main reasons why I do this kind of photography.”

The rest of the day went really well although it was a bit hot (82 degrees) for our Pacific Northwest standards. Fortunately, the inside of the lodge had nice air conditioning and the night cooled off nicely for guests to enjoy the outdoors for part of the reception.

A big thank you goes to my 2nd photographer, Cheryl, for capturing some great moments!

Congratulations to Samantha and Daniel!!!
