John & Julie’s big day started at the W Hotel in Seattle where Julie got ready. After John joined her for a few photos, we took off to Golden Gardens for some nice beach scenes. Once we got all the sand out of our shoes, it was time to head to the Ballard Locks for more photos. J+J enjoyed some nice scenery there with the colorful plants. After they had a chance to see most of the beautiful plants while getting photos taken, we drove down the street to where they were tying the knot – Ray’s Boathouse.
It turned out to be another great day in the Northwest for their outdoor wedding. One thing I really like about Ray’s is that the scenery is some of the best around! The Olympic Mountains and Shilshole Bay make for a nice backdrop, not to mention nice sunsets over the mountains.
I’m glad J+J are big fans of macarons because I got to have one at their reception. They’re kind of like a cookie but much better, especially since the Europeans were behind their creation. If you want to try one of these tasty treats, I highly recommend Lady Yum in Kirkland. I’ve been to a few different places around the Northwest that sell them and I must say that Lady Yum is pretty close to what I had in Paris which is saying a lot!
A big thank you to J+J for having me as their photographer to hang out with them for the day, and what an amazing day it was for their wedding! Congrats to John & Julie!!!
